Campus Missionaries are students who care about their friends and others who walk the halls of their campus everyday. Campus Missionaries have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. They are interested in seeing Jesus have an impact on their campus and in the people they influence. Campus Missionaries are willing to do whatever they can to see that Jesus is represented on their campus.
Becoming a Campus Missionary To become a Campus Missionary you need to:
Have a desire to see your campus impacted for Jesus Christ. Begin praying daily for the people in your school. Be involved in your local church youth ministry. Be willing to tell your story and how Jesus has impacted you. Tell the Gospel story to those who will listen. The Campus Missionary's Priorities Campus Missionaries have the opportunity to do several things, but none are more important than these:
Live the life. Your example of a strong Christian testimony is a powerful tool in your school. Pray for your friends and your school. You may be the only one who is praying for them. Tell the story of Jesus. It all comes down to you presenting Christ at school to those whom you can. Begin or support an ongoing campus club or ministry on your campus. Give to other missionary efforts. Your church probably has missions programs or people you can support.

Students:BECOME A STUDENT LEADER
Your school campus is your mission field. You can make a difference on your campus by sharing Jesus with other students. All it takes is a passion and a plan.
Here are some guidelines you can follow to help you succeed as a student leader on your campus:
A. Pursuing a passionate commitment and a personal plan for campus evangelism.
Principle statement:Passion (heart-felt focused determination) leads to action. Students who capture the heart of Christ's love will be compelled to share their faith with others. II Corinthians 5:14, Ephesians 6:19
Am I passionately pursuing a growing relationship with Christ? Am I consistently praying for my friends, classmates, and family? Am I looking for opportunities to share my faith in Christ with others? Do I know how to tell others about a relationship with Christ? Do I have a personal plan to reach others at my school? B. Being a part of a peer accountability group that encourages students to live and share the life of Christ. Principle statement:There is strength, encouragement, and support in numbers. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
Am I meeting regularly with Christian friends from my campus? Do I have specific friends who encourage me and hold me accountable to live for Christ? Am I daily encouraging my friends and helping them be accountable to live for Christ? C. Uniting with all Christian students (as the body of Christ) to fulfill the Great Commission at their school.
Principle statement:A group of campus Christians divided against themselves cannot stand. Matt.12:25
Do I understand the meaning of The Great Commission? Am I and my group of Christian friends helping other Christians on campus live for Christ? Are we as students leading in developing ministries to reach our campus? Are we targeting specific groups of students to present Christ on our campus?

Educators: The Referees in the Game.
These are the faculty volunteers who help the players stay in line with the players stay in line with the rules of the local district and state. They do not participate in the game even though they are right in the middle of it. This strategy is working all over the country. It can work in your community as well. God is calling His church together. These networks are key to the success of First Priority. It is essential that all these participants are at the table.

Church Leaders:The Coaches on the Sidelines.
These are the Youth Ministers / Workers who are educating and equipping the students in the game. There might be some incredible super stars on the team, but without good coaching they are not effective. Coaches do basically tow things:
1. They Schedule games. 2. They give guidance and direction to the team.
How many of us would take the time to practice without ever being allowed to play in a game? Many churches equip, challenge and disciple but rarely point students in a direction that encourages them to participate in the game. We usually schedule one game a year called mission trip. Look at it this way, we are going to schedule a game i.e. Mission trip nine months or more out of the year, on campus. Can you think of a better place to have a mission trip?

Parents:The Fans in the Stands
These are adults who are watching and cheering on the game. Up front, these parents are dedicated to praying and supporting the students as they work to minister to their campus. Behind the scenes, these parents are waking their son/daughter up early for practice, rearranging schedules, encouraging when the "game" doesn't go well, and running the booster club. Putting fan in the stands is really an easy task when their kid is passionate about playing in the game. Most parents are asking how they can be involved in impacting their student's school.

Buisness / Community Leaders: The Owners of the Team
The business community is so important to the First Priority strategy. Like a Professional team, Coaches and players come and go but the team lives on. Without business leaders involved in the FP longevity the longevity of the ministry will diminish when students graduate or staff in our local churches move on. The business community has vested interest in their community, and they will be the ones that are always there. Of all the cities that have successful First Priority they all have a board committed business leaders.
