GET INVOLVED

Students: Become a Campus Missionary

Campus Missionaries are students who care about their friends and others who walk the halls of their campus every day. Campus Missionaries have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. They are interested in seeing Jesus have an impact on their campus and in the people they influence. A Campus Missionaries’ first priority is to see that Jesus is represented on their campus.

To become a Campus Missionary, you need to:

  • Have a desire to see your campus impacted for Jesus Christ.
  • Begin praying daily for the people in your school.
  • Be involved in your local church youth ministry.
  • Be willing to tell your story and how Jesus has impacted you.
  • Tell the Gospel story to those who will listen.

Students: Become a Student Leader

Your school campus is your mission field. You can make a difference on your campus by sharing Jesus with other students.  Here are some guidelines you can follow to help you succeed as a student leader on your campus:

1. Passion – A heart-felt, focused determination that leads to action. Students who capture the heart of Christ’s love will be compelled to share their faith with others. (2 Corinthians 5:14; Ephesians 6:19)

  • Am I passionately pursuing a growing relationship with Christ?
  • Am I consistently praying for my friends, classmates, and family?
  • Am I looking for opportunities to share my faith in Christ with others?
  • Do I know how to tell others about a relationship with Christ?

2. Accountability – Being a part of a peer group that encourages students to live and share the life of Christ.  There is strength and encouragement in numbers.  (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)

  • Am I meeting regularly with Christian friends from my campus?
  • Do I have specific friends who encourage me and hold me accountable to live for Christ?
  • Am I daily encouraging my friends and helping them be accountable to live for Christ?

3. Unity – Christian students coming together as the Body of Christ to fulfill the Great Commission at your school.  A group of campus Christians divided against themselves cannot stand. (Matthew 12:25)

  • Do I understand the meaning of The Great Commission?
  • Am I and my group of Christian friends helping other Christians on campus live for Christ?

Educators/ Faculty Representatives

Educators and school staff are welcome to attend the First Priority clubs on their campus.  To ensure that student leaders stay in line with the rules and regulations of their local school district and state, each club is required to have a Faculty Representative.  Faculty Representatives do not lead in these clubs even though they are right in the middle of it.  We are grateful for each of our teachers and staff who give of their personal time to allow these clubs to happen on their campus.

Campus Coaches

Campus Coaches consist of ministers, parents, and community leaders who invest in helping the student leaders in the organization and implementation of the club strategy. There are some incredible student leaders on our leadership teams but without good coaching, they are not very effective.

Campus coaches do several things:

  1. They pray for the student leaders and make themselves available for any needs they may have.
  2. They schedule the club meetings.
  3. They give guidance and direction to the student leaders of the clubs.

Business / Community Leaders

The local business community is vital to the success of the First Priority ministry and strategy. Without business leaders involved financially to secure the longevity of First Priority, the ministry will diminish when students graduate or local Campus Coaches or ministers move on. As a business owner, you have a vested interest in our community, and you and your investment will remain.
